I want to talk about feeding kids.
There’s so much crap tied up in parenting. I’ve had countless playground conversations where the subtext of parental chit-chat is that one person is doing it better than another. Some sleep train and stick to a tight schedule (us), while others prefer less of a routine. Some houses are screen-free, and others deploy the iPad liberally.
In our house, we proudly pat ourselves on the back for having no screens or TV throughout the week. But on Sunday, which we call “Pancake Day,” all bets are off. We let our son crush TV time. And he loves it. The point is: it’s all a balance, you try your best, love your kids, and don’t let someone else’s approach devalue your own.
