I’ve eaten Caesar salads on several continents and in many cities. I’ve had the famed Caesar from Zuni Cafe (very nearly the best there is) and have tucked into many other well-loved versions from canteens near and far. A Caesar salad is always a good idea, like a hamburger, a plate of freshly shucked oysters, a heap of french fries, or an ice-cold Martini.
There are countless variants in the Caesar camp, many worthy of consumption. But the best version (certainly MY favorite) is my own family’s recipe, which has been passed down to me.
