Last weekend we decamped to Albuquerque, New Mexico for a series of events with Los Poblanos, an inn on a 25-acre organic farm just outside the city. They’ve been stocking my Jack Rudy products for many years; I had never visited and was keen to change that.
The trip was an opportunity to showcase our mixers with their Lavender Gin. I spoke at their distillery in town, as well. (It was sold out!) Naturally, we stayed on property.
When I asked a friend who spends time in the area what I should do in town, his response did not inspire confidence: “My favorite thing to do in Albuquerque is pack up and get the fuck outta Albuquerque.”
While I can’t vouch for what the city does or does not offer (because I didn’t want to leave the hotel), I can say that he had clearly not spent much time at Los Poblanos, because I would book a return visit in a heartbeat. It’s joined the list of my favorite hotel properties in the US.
