I went back and forth with my wife about sharing some magical experiences we recently had at two special inns in the South. Both felt completely undiscovered and there was a bit of not wanting to share a place for fear that it might spoil it (for myself, of course). But on the other hand, any business person - including an innkeeper - counts on interest and support from the outside world to keep the boat afloat. So I’ve opted to recount our experiences in this newsletter.

Several years ago a dear, well-traveled friend shared a photo from a quintessentially Southern front porch, dotted with rocking chairs and punctuated on both ends by hammocks. In the distance there was some marsh and a waterway. It looked stunning, and I asked her where she was.
“It’s a secret,” she said.
With some prodding, she revealed the name.
